Christmas do over

My poor Dad was sick on Christmas so we had a little Christmas do over for him yesterday. We had a Christmas like meal and then he got to open all his presents.
Dallas stayed on top of handing him presents, alot of times before he was done opening the last one:)
and Dylan enjoyed sliding of the couch over and over and laughing.

I probably should have waited one more day to take all my Christmas stuff down, but hey I have had it up since october:)

Christmas Day

Christmas morning was magical. This little guy was up and ready to go but...

His brother was still in a tylenol codene coma. So we had to wake him up

We went down stairs to see what Santa had brought

Dylan had to first test out the windows of his new house:)

Dylan was most excited to see where our elf on a shelf "Bubbie" was hiding today

Best line of the day, "These power cominers build a bigger, badder, bot!!!"

Ryan hooked me up with some goods, love him

He was happy with all the stuff he got too

Big D wouldn't take his fingers off his itouch

and Dylan ate candy ALL DAY LONG. and if you notice in this picture in the corner someone got a stocking full of scratchers....and won 80 bucks!

For the evening we headed up to the Heaps house for a Christmas feast like NO OTHER! Every single part was so tasty and Matt and Ryan kept wondering where all of the food they were eating was going to fit in their bodies(this cake is going to my triceps I think), we were all stuffed.
We did fireworks, bet you cant guess who's kid said, "NONo, don't jump over it, it will burn you" WE won on another scratcher and played games and had a jolly old time. Christmas is for sure the best day of the year

Christmas Eve

Christmas eve started out a little rough this year when Ryan had to take big D to the ER at 4 am because the kid was screaming in pain all night from a really bad ear infection, but they gave him all sorts of good meds and he was doing pretty good by nighttime....and a little funny, tylenol with codene can make an already entertaining 5 yr old even more entertaining:)
We had a yummy dinner, and really missed Grandpa who was home sick too

We enjoyed the Christmas tree

Dylan posed for pics with his new best buddy

Then we built a gingerbread house

By the time we got around to putting on the candy it was pretty much gone...hmm

Made the big man some cookies and chocolate milk

and then turned into santas helpers when the kids were sound asleep

Santa party

Some of our friends threw a Christmas party last night and invited a special guest...SANTA! The kids were soooo excited he came all the way from the north pole to see them and he brought them each a present.

Here is Dallas playing with his

Dylan loved his car from Santa

Little kids always seem to love Ryan

There were lots of kids and lots of smiles

Then all the kids went on a hay ride and the adults got a little relaxing time:) Well atleast the men did

the lights

Nothing puts me in the Christmas spirit like the lights at the temple. We felt so Christmas like that we sang carols all the way home. Dallas wanted to make sure we took a picture of the baby Jesus and said hi to all the missionaries and Dylan loved the big star in the sky.

favorite things Christmas party

My friend Lindsey threw a Christmas favorite things party last night and it was so much fun! I was so happy with the things I got: target giftcard, jamba giftcard, lipgloss, handsanitizer and dry shampoo. It was like they were all meant to come home with me:) I am however STILL disapointed that I lost the two truths and a lie game...NO ONE is supposed to think its true that I delivered 2 babys to rap music. I can't wait for next year to redeem myself and my lying skills:)

White Christmas??

It's kindof hard to imagine a "white" Christmas while you are at the park and its 75 degrees. I think the only snow we are going to be having this Christmas season is snow cones:)

a happy Saturday

Nothing is better then when Ryan gets an unexpected Saturday off! We spent the afternoon at Shnepf(best part of the experience is making your kids try to say Shnepf) farms. I don't know why we haven't been to this place before, it is a gem!

We had some breakfast with some interesting live music

Dallas and Ryan did the obsticle course

Did the swings for awhile

swung from a tree
rode a train(not this one)

climbed some haystacks

and felt fall/winter

We didn't even make it to the reindeer feeding and hayrides because we were waiting for the special home made icecream...lets just say its not that special, so don't wait for it...Lets hope Ryan gets another Saturday off real soon!
