Today is my sister Rachel's birthday. I just want to tell her Happy Birthday, and list some of the reasons I love her.......
She is the most caring person I know, especially when it comes to animals. You know when you are driving down the street and you see a dead animal in the road and you say, "how sad" and keep driving. Rachel doesn't keep driving, she stops and makes sure the animal gets a proper burial, even if it is at midnight(believe me this has happened).
She is the funnest Mom I know. I keep telling her to charge admission when kids come to her house. She has more blow up toys than pump it up, she has a Cotton candy machine in her front hall, and she pretty much has a petting zoo...with horses, goats, chickens, ducks etc. Her kids have been to pretty much every amusement park in the nation more than once, and she is always making yummy treats.
She makes every holiday special. Rachel goes all out for every holiday. On Christmas she has 7 Christmas trees decorated so beautifully she could sell them. She has Halloween trees on Halloween, valentines trees on valentines, and always makes birthdays special for everyone.
She is beautiful, like goddess beautiful, but doesn't realize it.
She is daring, she has her pilot's licence, but hasn't gone flying since she had her first child. She loves haunted houses and laughs at the chainsaw guys that make everyone else scream.
She is always honest, sometimes annoyingly so. She never does anything dishonest, and always tells you what is on her mind.
Last but not least she was my personal body guard when I was little and had bifocals thick glasses and a patch over my eye. There was one bully in particular named Kent Busco who would chase me home every day, call me four-eyes and throw snowballs at my face. Rachel would pick up her own ball of snow and throw it at his face, chase him away and tell him to pick on someone his own size. She was my hero then, and she is my hero now.
I love you Rachel, thanks for being the best sister a girl could have.
