A few months ago Ryan and his friend Ryan played in a charity golf tournament in Palm Springs and won. So they qualified to play in the Els for Autism grand finale golf tournament in Vegas . We headed out on Friday morning and about 2 hours into the drive we were in a parking lot....a semi had crashed and a power line had fallen on top of it, and according to the truck drivers we were in for a 5 hour wait before we started moving again. Ryan was not about to do that so he turned around and we went on a dirt road adventure to find the interstate....it worked and we saved ourselves a few hours of waiting time.
When we got to Vegas there was a welcome party at PURE. It was beautiful!
The next morning bright and early the boys headed off to the course and the ladies went to some amazing seminars and speeches about autism. It was such a wonderful experience and I feel like it was worth the trip just for that.
That night was the awards dinner and party
All of the players who had children on the spectrum were featured on the big screen and in the program. It was fun to see my little Dylan's face:)
Ryan and I got to talk to Ernie and his wife for awhile, they were so kind and it was fun to talk to each other about our boys.
