Christmas 2011

Christmas morning Dallas came rushing into our room ready to go see what Santa brought.  We had to wake up Dylan but he was quickly just as excited as D.

The brothers hugged it out before going downstairs to see their goods.
Dallas did a quick dance at the top of the stairs:)

Big D is good at the big reactions.

Dylan really loved his bike and wanted to leave the extravaganza to go ride it already

So funny that Santa got Dad underwear....:)
Thanks Grandma Lynn, Ryan is going to be grilling up some steaks in this one!
and I love this Grandma Lynn!
Then they played basketball on their new hoop
and dressed up in their new costumes

Grandpa Dennis came over and opened presents.  WE love him so much
Ryan may or may not have gotten a slight guilt trip from someone for the poorly timed snooze...

and then the boys waited patiently for their best buddies to arrive!!  We had dinner and played and talked and enjoyed the Heaps boys SWEET new helicopter that goes so high up in the air.
put the tired little boys to bed, and enjoyed a wonderful Christmas night
and didn't move off of the couch unless Absolutely necessary:)   Ryan decided to share his lemon heads he got from Santa.  Not Jamie's favorite candy:)

My favorite gift from Ryan was these 3 letters in a box.  We have been battling over baby boy #3's name for quite awhile now, and for Christmas Ryan decided to give in to my choice.   Baby boy number 3 now has an official name! Jax Ryan:)

Christmas eve 2011

Christmas eve we watched the cowboys...that was sad but we brushed it off and made some cookies for Santa.
Then we had our Christmas eve dinner.  Dylan tried Pork, and liked it! Something about holidays makes him try new things.

We were lucky enough to have Grandpa with us for the Christmas eve festivities:)

After dinner we decorated Santa's cookies
Big D was a little disappointed the only color sprinkles we had were pink and wanted to somehow explain to Santa it was not his fault.
Lets hope Santa is not a germaphobe because Dylan may have licked the frosting knife every time he dipped it in.
We went outside to leave reindeer food and the boys swore they spotted Santa's sleigh
Then we had some homemade ice cream.  Ryan could have skipped dinner and just had that.
                                                  Then Grandpa bid us farewell.
Ryan looked up the Santa radar and showed the boys where he was at that moment.
and then we finished the night by reading the Christmas chapter of my Dads book.  The perfect way to feel ready for Christmas.

Heaps/Thornes Christmas party

We had our annuel Heaps-t-horneys Christmas party last night at our favorite Flemmings followed by Sherlock Holmes.  It was such a great night and just what I needed to make me feel jolly for Christmas.

Dylan's preschool Christmas program

Today we got to go to Dylan's Preschool Christmas program.  It was so cute to see him and all his little buddies and hear their cute songs they had been practicing.  Im so grateful for his teachers, they love him so much and are so good to him.
                                                                    Dylan and Miss Jeanna
Cookies for all the kids after, He got two because he couldn't have the milk
This is is face when he first realized we were in the audience watching him.  I love him
and then he got to come home and open his presents from his teachers.  He got a book and a pez dispenser and was so excited about both.
