Just got back from a trip without the kiddos to Vegas and California. I had forgotten just how delightful it feels to sleep in and fall asleep on the beach....it kinda sounds like im obsessed with sleep...we also did active things too, like ride bikes. That might sound relaxing to some, but I was pretty tense on my bike with the kungfu death grip on the handles. I decided that Arizona needs a beach, vegas needs more "yummy treats" and more penn and teller billboards...and california needs...well nothing except maybe a little place on the beach with my name on it.....and a few less french flight attendants at our hotel(they are required to keep their fingernails manicured in case you have ever wondered:)

Fathers day
I had big plans for fathers day this year that did not involve burnt breakfast and poor Ryan getting thrown up on not once but twice. But if you know Ryan he took it all in stride. He let our poor sick kiddo lay on him the whole day and just relaxed, watched the US open and then when the day was over laid in bed with Dallas until he fell asleep. What a guy he is, he really is all of our favorite person in the world. We might need to make this Fathers day week though, just cuz getting thrown up on isn't a way to spend a holiday:)

a day to remember...
Today was Dallas's first baseball game.

We snuck him on the coaches pitch team for 5 and 6 year olds:) He is the only 4 year old on the team and he more then kept up with the older kids.
Here he is on first base.
Here is coach Dad pitching with Dallas on 3rd
He was one of the only kids who got atleast a base hit every time up to bat.
He did pretty good at throwing too.....catching....not so much. We are going to have to work on that and teach him a little more about the rules of the game. At one point in the game a kid hit a pretty long one and big D ran so fast to get the ball. When he got it he just picked it up and stood there. He thought that getting the ball was the point of the game and once you got it you had won. Everyone kept yelling at him to throw it to 3rd and he said, "but I just got it". Good stuff.
