We just got home from our family trip back east to the outer banks(OBX). We left the day after hurricane Earl hit and so we were nervous about the weather...but there was not one cloud in the sky and not one rain drop the whole time we were there. We might go in hurricane season more often:)
We arrived when it was dark and woke up the next morning to this...Dylan could not stop staring at the ocean
Dallas could not get enough of riding waves in the ocean. He was a fish this year and even went out when there was millions of jellyfish.
Dylan would not let go of this coke can for an entire day on the beach and even when it was empty he kept pretending to drink from it.
We woke up a few times early to watch the sun rise, it was so beautiful.

We went to the sand dunes and Dylan hiked all the way to the top...well almost all they way

at night we hit the town and we rode these race cars twice, the boys loved it.

One night Rachel and Sam let us borrow their girls for a night and we got to pretend they were ours for a night on the town. We didn't have to lift a finger cuz they parented our boys, it was awesome.

OBX hurrican style looks amazing. dallas i love how brave you were out riding the waves and jace would tottaly LOVE your skull board, dilly i can see why you didnt want to put down the can, i feel the same way about my dc's, ry i can so pitcure you coming up with activitys like kites and sand doons, i bet dallas loved having his dad for a whole week, and mary lets just say the boot camp of yours is paying off.. your looking smokin!!! im glad you got some mom sister time in, i bet they couldnt get enough of you, and im glad you gave arwen a few shockers, keeps her on her toes.

What a relaxing fun vacation! That house on the beach is to die for! So glad you got some good fam time in, nothin better.

No wonder I love Dylan so much - I hold on to my can all day too even if there is a small child falling - save the can - let the child fall :) Love all your new family beach pics - they just get better and better! That beach house and beach looks divine! One of these years I tell ya - I'm taggin along!
